Real Health Conversations
Real Health Conversations (Formerly Low-Carb Conversations) is hosted by Holly Jean Mullen, FNTP and features a variety of voices in the world of modern nutrition and health science, expressing many different points of view.

Cassie's all-star former PFC client Jean Burke and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and low-carb, high-fat diet blogger Daniele Della Valle join our hosts Jimmy Moore and Dietitian Cassie today in Episode 133 of "Low-Carb Conversations With Jimmy Moore, Dietitian Cassie & Friends!"

Today is the final episode of the year for "Low-Carb Conversations" as Jimmy Moore embarks on his 10-city Keto Clarity speaking tour through New Zealand and Australia in the coming weeks and then begins collaborating with Maria Emmerich on their new ketogenic diet cookbook coming next summer. As for Dietitian Cassie, she will be continuing to grow and expand her Healthy Simple Life health coaching business as well as being engaged in the upcoming busy holiday season. But don't worry--they'll both be back with many more fascinating and interesting guest friends in 2015 who will be ready to take on the health headlines each and every Friday. The interest and support in one of the most unique podcasts in the low-carb, Paleo, primal, real food community continues to build and we are incredibly appreciative for the fans who help us keep this listener-supported show going, including recent donations from June, Richard, Vincent, Cas, and Halley. CLICK HERE if you would like to join them in support of "Low-Carb Conversations" and we'll vow to keep bringing you quality content in the months and years to come. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

IS THIS WOMAN QUALIFIED TO BE BELGIUM'S HEALTH MINISTER?

Is she too fat to be a Health Minister?

In today's special extended final-show-of-2014 episode, our co-hosts Jimmy Moore and Dietitian Cassie are joined by another one of Cassie's all-star clients Jean Burke (she doesn't have a website or social media to connect with her) as well as a Vancouver, Washington-based nutritional therapy practitioner named Daniele Della Valle from "Skinny Girl Eats Fat" who is a bona fide foodie who had to overcome some nagging food sensitivity and digestive issues that were plaguing her health thanks to a low-carb, high-fat diet.

BRITA'S CREATIVE NEW SUGAR BUILDINGS AD

Brita's "Sugar Buildings" Ad

Listen in to hear Jimmy, Cassie, Jean and Daniele give their thoughts and opinions about whether the nearly 300-pound new Health Minister of Belgium is the right choice for that position, why The Chocolate Milk Diet is probably a very bad idea, the supposed list of eight carbs that you should be eating, push back from some scientists about the recent pro-fat studies, a new marketing ad from Brita pointing to the shocking sugar content in sugary soda, why hearkening back to the lifestyle habits of our grandparents could fix food allergies, whether cooking, cooling and then reheating pasta turns it into a resistant starch, an insightful op-ed column from the incredible Kelly Coffey (gotta get her on as a guest friend in 2015!) about the way we perceive ourselves in this weight and health journey, and a column that asks whether we should all be eating more fat in our diet. This special extended episode of the podcast ends with some great health tips from our guest friends. So, for one last time in 2014, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and let's talk!
