Real Health Conversations
Real Health Conversations (Formerly Low-Carb Conversations) is hosted by Holly Jean Mullen, FNTP and features a variety of voices in the world of modern nutrition and health science, expressing many different points of view.

This week on Low Carb Conversations with FNTPs Leah, Holly and Amber, Leah and Holly are joined by Dr. Pran Yoganathan. Dr. Pran graduated in medicine from University of Otago in New Zealand. His training in internal medicine was undertaken in the Westmead Public Hospital (near Sydney, Australia). His Advanced training in Gastroenterology was completed in the major teaching hospitals in South Western Sydney.

In this episode, Dr. Pran shares his wisdom and clinical experience regarding the — sometimes overlooked — importance of diet in relation to GI health. He shares his own experience with overcoming metabolic syndrome and how he learned to heal himself with nutrition and intermittent fasting. Looking at plant based products and the vegan movement as a way to help the planet, we flip the coin and discuss toxic chemicals found in many plant-based meat products that are problematic from a GI perspective as well as GMOs, inflammation, the gut microbiome and dietary changes that accompany aging. Dr. Pran also shares his professional experience in the importance of balanced blood sugars and insulin in the treatment of endometriosis.

Since this podcast was recorded the event at Low Carb Down Under has been postponed. We will let you know when it is rescheduled.
