So how can someone develop and increase confidence? Bryce shares some easy steps to help anyone desiring more confidence to get started today.

This episode also spends time exploring what it takes to achieve health freedom and the answer is, not surprisingly, fitness! The underlying theme of this episode and our conversation with Bryce is how fitness is a foundational piece in achieving and maintaining health as well as freedom, confidence, and success in life. Enjoy!

This week Leah and Holly are back together for a Cohost episode looking at how your sense of free will affects your health. Do you believe you have control over your life or do you believe there is a greater force at hand? How do these beliefs affect your health and wellbeing?

In this discussion we explore a conversation around whether life is happening to you, or for you. We also touch on internal thought patterns and how they relate to obesity, achieving health goals, and the toggle between a positive and negative mindset.

Welcome to Low Carb Conversations with Leah Williamson and Holly Jean Mullen, Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioners.

In this episode, Leah chats with Neuropsychiatrist and Author of the new book, The Upgrade: How the Female Brain Gets Stronger and Better in Midlife and Beyond, by Dr. Louann Brizendine.

Dr Brizendine shares newly emerging information about women in the second half of life: during midlife, women’s brains are actually reshaped and “upgraded” in a way that creates new power, a bracing clarity, and a laser-like sense of purpose. Dr. Brizendine calls this process The Upgrade and argues that, if a woman knows how to step into her power and own her Upgrade, the second half of her life can be the better half.

Listen in as Leah and Dr Brizendine chat about the Transition (the period of time leading to The Upgrade). Dr Brizendine shares her research on tips on making The Transition to the Upgrade a better experience through mindset, nutrition, exercise, sleep and more. Dr Brizendine wishes for women experiencing this transition to experience more joy and serenity in their lives.
